To print reports select File/Print from the main menu.

Note:This only works if there is a current calculator, and the calculator is prepared to print.

 In certain calculators (such as the Paycheck Projections and MAC calculator) the main menu is not available; however, a print button will appear on the form.

 By default, the Print button does not display on the toolbar. Click here for help to configure the toolbar.

The print dialog (similar to that which is below, possibly with different reports listed) will appear:

Reports from all open calculators will appear in the dialog box. Certain calculators (such as the Database or Batch Processing tool) work on multiple client files at the same time and will close other calculators.

Select the report(s) from the list to preview or print by checking the box on the left hand side.

The Select All and Clear All buttons may be used to quickly select all or clear all of the selected reports. (The Select All button will be disabled if not all reports can be selected at the same time).

Notes:The Print/Preview etc. buttons on the right will be disabled if no reports are selected.

 By default all printed and previewed reports are saved in the report archive (stored with the client data). This option may be configured in Setup/System/Printing/Config.

 The Configure button allows for selecting which reports are selected when the dialog box is initially opened and for setting the report order.

Print Buttons

The buttons on the right are described below:

Print

This will send the report to the selected printer.

Preview

This will preview the selected reports.

Print to Archive

This will save an electronic copy of the report(s) to the archive for later viewing or printing. To view archived reports select File/Print Archives from the main menu.

Print to File

This allows for printing to various formats, including PDF and Excel (XLS). Enter the file name, and select the type of file by which to save the report.

Setup Printer

This will allow selecting and configuring the printer for all of the reports. The printer may be configured for individual reports by right clicking over the specific printer.

The Setup Printer button has a down arrow that allows for configuring printer-setup options.

Clear All Custom Printer Settings

This will clear all printer settings, including the main settings and all customized settings.

Remember Printer Settings

This allows for configuring if TRAK will remember printer settings when it is closed.  Check the option below so that the respective printer settings are remembered when TRAK is restarted.

Print Details

Print Cover Page

This determines if a cover page is printed with the selected report(s). A disclaimer can be configured in the Setup/System/Printing/Cover Page. Click here for more information.

Number of Copies

Enter the number of copies of the report to be printed.

Show setup dialog...

Some of the print-to-file devices include a configuration dialog box that will appear when the report is printed. Check this box to show the configuration dialog.
